Greetings
Volunteers
Voluntary work is especially important for the implementation of our programs. Volunteers are involved in carrying out the programs and activities of the SOS Telephone Association for Women and Children – Victims of Violence (counseling on the SOS hotline in Ljubljana and Celje, voluntary work in our two Shelters in Ljubljana, participating in organizing preventive activities, etc.).
You have the opportunity to make the world a better place. Starting today.
"This work is demanding and full of challenges, but at the same time very rewarding. It gives me purpose and meaning, as through it I contribute to social change."
Izjave prostovoljk
To delo je zahtevno in polno izzivov, a hkrati zelo nagrajujoče, daje mi smisel in pomen, saj z njim prispevam k družbenim spremembam.
Volunteers, welcome.
Successfully completing the basic training is a prerequisite for counseling work in the SOS Telephone program, conducted in Ljubljana and Celje. During the basic training, you acquire specialized professional knowledge in the field of violence against women and children, as well as basic practical skills for counseling conversations with victims of violence.
After completing the basic training, each participant decides whether they want to become a volunteer at the SOS Telephone Association for Women and Children – Victims of Violence. If they choose to volunteer, they then participate in practical training.
After successfully completing the basic training for counseling work on the SOS hotline, the volunteer signs a Volunteer Agreement. The volunteer commits to actively performing voluntary work in the Association for at least 12 months following the successful completion of the basic training.
Volunteers do not receive payment for voluntary work.
