SOS Hotline

The SOS Hotline is available to anyone in need of assistance, support, or information regarding any form of violence—including domestic, intimate, or otherwise—as well as guidance on available support services, your rights, and institutional responsibilities. You can speak confidentially, personally, and informatively with professionally trained counselors. Calls to the SOS Hotline are free of charge.

Counseling confidentiality will only be broken—and authorities notified—if the person is endangering their own life or someone else’s, or if the victim is a child, elderly, disabled, or otherwise unable to care for themselves.

You can also write to the counselors about sexual abuse/sexual violence by email. Send your email to: sostelefon@drustvo-sos.si. You will receive a reply within three working days.

Psychosocial Counseling and Support

We offer free individual psychosocial counseling, assistance from a psychotherapist, social advocacy, accompaniment to institutional appointments, and opportunities to join support groups. These services are available to women and children who are currently experiencing or have experienced domestic violence or sexual abuse.

Chat (Online Counseling)

Chat conversations and visits are completely safe and private—we do not record personal data, so you can trust us. The chat is available every Tuesday from 8:00 to 16:00. You can access the chat by clicking the icon in the bottom right corner of the website.

Shelter ("Zatočišče")

A shelter or safe house provides a secure place for women (with or without children) to retreat from violence. With the support of counselors, individuals can rebuild their lives.

If you are in danger at home, call the SOS Hotline to arrange an initial intake interview for placement in one of our shelters.

Counseling by Criminologist or Lawyer

We offer counseling with a criminologist or lawyer regarding legal processes in cases of domestic or intimate-partner violence. These consultations are arranged via phone by prior appointment and are held through the SOS number 080 11 55.

Email Counseling

You may report violence or ask for general information about violence and available help by email at sostelefon@drustvo-sos.si.
